After Aflac's successful promotional tie-in with Disney-Pixar's Up, there was interest to also tie in with Toy Story 3. As with Up, I was brought in to brainstorm creative ideas for the TV spot. The day care scene that is featured in the film's trailer provided the perfect set up for the Aflac duck and the company's message.
I was asked again to direct the development of a TV spot storyboard that would be used to get buy-in from all of the major stakeholders: Aflac and their TV agency, Disney executives and Pixar filmmakers.
The final TV spot shown here follows the outline of the original storyboard.
